Happy Saturday! How cute are the critters in this Avery Elle stamp and die set called A Merry Little Christmas?  I couldn’t wait to make a card with it.  I stamped all the animals onto Neenah Solar White Cardstock with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I then colored them with Arteza Real Brush Markers and die cut them with the coordinating dies.  You could also use colored pencils or Copic markers for this simple coloring.

I used a sheet of snowflake pattern paper from the Doodlebug Design – Sugarplums Collection – Christmas – 6 x 6 Paper Pad for the background.  There are 24 sheets of paper, two solids (green and red) and 22 patterns.  So many options!  I also used the dainty Hero Arts – Season of Wonder Collection – Fancy Dies – Snowflake Edge die.  I glued the snowflakes to the pattern paper and then trimmed off the solid part of the diecut.  I then glued the paper to a white card base.

For the snow banks, I cut a slope into a wide strip of Neenah Solar White Cardstock.  I adhered one piece to the pattern paper and arranged the larger critters in place.  I then stamped the sentiment with Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink onto the other piece, and mounted it to the card with foam tape to add some dimension.  For a little more dimension, I added the two mice with foam tape as well.

For the garlands and the bows, I used Gold Wink of Stella.  It provides a little shimmer that you cannot appreciate in the pictures.  I also used a white gel pen to add a few highlights.

A had a half inch strip of paper and an extra gift box left over, so I added them to the inside of the card.
