Looking forward to Spring yet? The colors in this card don’t just make me think of Spring but also of the Caribbean. My mom is turning 70 and lives in Barbados so I think this is a perfect card for her.
I started out wanting to make a card with the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper but, in the end, I used the same colors but none of the paper. I used Watermelon Wonder Cardstock for the card base and Peekaboo Peach Cardstock for the large panel (4″x5-1/4″). I layered on a rectangle of the same size of Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate (this acetate is beautiful!), gold side up (the other side looks silver). I stamped the greenery and flowers form the Number Of Years Photopolymer Stamp Set using Flirty Flamingo, Pear Pizzazz, Peekaboo Peach, and Watermelon Wonder inks. I then prepped a 2-3/4″x4″ piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock with my Embossing Buddy, and stamped one of the birthday sentiments from the Big On Birthdays Photopolymer Stamp Set with Versamark Ink. I sprinkled on some Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and melted it with my heat tool. I mounted the sentiment panel onto a piece of Watermelon Wonder DSP from the 2015-2017 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack cut to 3-1/8″x4-3/8″ with Dimensionals and then attached that to the card with Snail Adhesive. I finished off the front of the card with a bow of Peekaboo Peach 3/8″ (1 Cm) Ruched Ribbon attached with Mini Glue Dots.
For the inside of the card, I cut two 4″x5-1/4″ pieces of Whisper White Cardstock. I once again used the Embossing Buddy, Versamark Ink, and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder to stamp the numbers onto Peekaboo Peach Cardstock. I diecut them with the Large Numbers Framelits Dies and adhered them with my Fine-Tip Glue Pen. I stamped the sentiment with Watermelon Wonder Ink and stamped the greenery and flowers just like on the outside.
I hope my mom likes the card and that it brightens her day :).
