Here is my first Valentine’s Day card of 2019. I used Concord and 9th‘s Little Love Tags BUNDLE. It is primarily a tag set but you can definitely use it to make cards. I used the XO heart stamp to create a circle, alternating ink colors for interest. I stamped the lines stamp twice using my Mini MISTI onto vellum using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I used the same ink to stamp the sentiment, which I trimmed with my paper trimmer, and the heart with lines through it, which I colored with three Copic markers to create an ombre effect. I die cut the heart using the dies from the bundle.
To keep the card from being too feminine, I used Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Cardstock for the card base. The finished card measures 4.25″x4.25″ so it fits into a standard size envelope. The white panel measures 3.5″x3.5″ and I matted it onto a piece of Stampin’ Up! Pink Pirouette cardstock that measures 3.75″x3.75″. The inks I used are from Red Sunset Mini Cube Set. I used Blush Crisp Dye Ink and Crimson Crisp Dye Ink. I’m sorry that I can’t tell you which Copic markers I used. I cleared my desk so I could do accounts (yuk!) and put them away without writing the numbers down. In person the colors seem to match better than in the picture. Maybe the light reflects differently?
To add a little dimension, I added foam tape to the back of the sentiment and the heart to attach them to my card front. I used Ranger Multi Medium – Matte to attach the vellum. If you look really closely you can see small darker spots but they are not really noticeable.
I plan to use this bundle to make some Valentine’s Day tags and to package some candy. Hopefully, I can get it done and posted before Valentine’s Day. I hope that you will make some Valentine’s Day projects. Even friends like getting Valentine’s Day treats :).
