Today I am sharing two cards for Valentine’s Day. One is very simple to make and the other one is a little stepped up. Both are gorgeous with the help of some gold embossed paper.
Unfortunately, this paper is no longer available. I did see some sellers on Etsy and eBay that still have some of this paper called Painted with Love. It is a discontinued paper pack from Stampin’ Up! and before I totally said goodbye to it, I had to use it with this Concord and 9th Little Love Tags BUNDLE. These cards are totally different from the one I posted HERE which also used the bundle. If you don’t have a paper pack with gold embossing, you can take an irregular stamp and gold heat emboss it onto your pattern paper to change the look of it. And, of course, you can make the card(s) without the gold heat embossing.
Both cards are standard A2 size with a pink mat that is 5.25″x4″ and a stitched rectangle white diecut that is 3 11/16” x 4 15/16” (from MFT’s A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1). I used Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo cardstock, and Pink Pirouette and Rich Razzleberry inks, all from Stampin’ Up!. The love diecut is from the Sunshine Wishes die set (also from Stampin’ Up!) but there are many love dies out there that would fit.
To add a little interest to the white backgrounds, I stamped the large heart cluster from the stamp set with the Pink Pirouette ink. To keep them from being too dark and overpowering, I stamped off on a scratch piece of paper before stamping on the white cardstock. I also stamped the hearts on the inside panels of the cards.
I hope you are having fun crafting for Valentine’s Day :).
