I am totally addicted to Lawn Fawn’s Flippin’ Awesome Dies. I had to make a considerable effort a couple of days ago to stop making waterfall cards and do something else. Years ago, I made several of these cards without the dies. You can find many videos on YouTube showing you how to make them. They are not that hard to make but this die set is a game changer for me. I used the Critter Concert stamp set for the first card and then decided to use pattern paper (of which I have tons) to make the process go even faster.
I used Copic markers to quickly color the images and used a stamp from the stamp set to create the sentiment banner at the top. WARNING: Do not place cardstock up there. Even though I did not add any extra dimension behind the banner, the squares got stuck when I was trying to push the tab back in and get the squares back into place.
Another tip is to leave plenty of space at the bottom of a landscape card so that the recipient can easily hold on to it when pulling the tab.
The sentiment is from Avery Elle’s A Merry Little Christmas stamp set
I apologize for using discontinued paper but the point I’m trying to make is that there are lots of papers that can be used to make these cards. It’s not practical for me to show you every square of every card so please watch the video to see all the detail. A couple of the cards have three images and a sentiment square and the others have four. Two have pockets where you can place a gift card or other small note. The Christmas paper is from a Doodlebug 6×6 pad, the rest from Stampin’ Up.
