Mailbox and Oh So Lovely Flower Bouquet Birthday Card

birthday delivery the stamp market card

Hi, I hope you are having a nice day. Today’s card is a combo of The Stamp Market‘s Mailbox Gift Card Holder dies, Mailbox Messages Stamp Set and the Oh So Lovely Stamp & Cut Bundle. I made a card that you can see HERE with the Oh So Lovely Stamp & Cut Bundle a few months ago using a pretty different color scheme.

The ink colors I used for this card were Blush Pink, Citrine, Leafy, Melon, Navy, Party Pink, and Sea Glass. All the colors except Navy are part of the Color Crush Bundle. I used Premium White Cardstock for the top front panel layered onto Navy cardstock. I didn’t want to have to put a white panel inside the card, so I mounted everything onto a card base that measured 8.5″x7″, scored on the short side at 3.5″ (so the finished card is 8.5″x3.5″).

The mailbox is die cut from Sea Glass Cardstock and I created the pattern on it with the Diamond Tile Background Stamp and Sea Glass ink for a tone-on-tone look. The message on the mailbox is stamped in Navy ink, but it kind of looks black in the pictures. I added some white gel pen detail to add some interest to it. I also added a strip of rainbow paper from the Color Crush Patterns Paper Pack at the bottom of the panel, which kept the mailbox from looking like it was floating.

Last but not least, I added some dots with a Signo Gold Uni-Ball Impact Pen to the edges of the citrine flowers and the centers of all the others.

It took me a little while to complete this card because I was being very indecisive (imagine that!) but I’m really happy with the way it turned out. It is on its way to my niece :).

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a crafty rest of the week,
