Today’s post features two birthday cards I made with the Party Pop-Up Thinlits Dies, one for my brother-in-law Zoran and one for my friend Susan. The design is almost identical except for a few details.
On the more masculine card, I used a piece of Silver Foil Sheet behind the Hip Hip Hooray! diecut and a circle of Basic Black Cardstock with a sentiment from the Endless Birthday Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. On the more feminine card, I decided to turn the diecut into a shaker. I didn’t want to distract from it so I eliminated the sentiment circle.
I used Tear & Tape Adhesive to attach the acetate to the diecut and replaced a few of the chads around the edges so that you couldn’t see the adhesive underneath.
The only differences on the insides are the addition of the “50th” on the Melon Mambo card, the different washi tapes, and the Pool Party vs Mint Macaroon sponging on the “Happy Birthday”. I embellished the candle flames on both cards with the fabulous Gold Wink of Stella.
The Party Pop-Up Thinlits Dies are awesome for creating WOW! cards easily. They are great from many occasions and can be used for cards for men and women. What more could you ask for :-)?
