Today’s card is masculine enough for a guy and fun with the shaker element. I combined Concord & 9th’s Double-Cut Alphabet Dies with some Stampin’ Up! Paper that is just gorgeous. The card is 5″x5″ which means that it fits into a standard envelope for a 5″x7″ card. Of course, you could always make your own square envelope but remember to add extra postage if you mail it. I used a Basic Black card base and covered the front with the candle paper from the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper. I used another piece of paper from the set for the shaker backing which adds some detail when all the bits in the shaker are at the bottom.
The dies cut a thin outline and the full letter so I cut the letters out of Basic Black cardstock and gold glitter cardstock. To make gluing the letters easy, I backed both cardstock pieces with adhesive sheets before die-cutting. I used 3M foam tape to assemble the shaker and filled it with sequins from the SU Metallics Sequin Assortment.
There’s nothing particularly fancy about this card but the glitter paper and the shaker it make it very elegant, don’t you think?
