Today’s cards were as easy to make as it gets. I used the Seasonal Snapshot 2015 Project Life Card Collection (original price $16 but on clearance now for just $4.80!). Project Life (PL) card collections typically contain cards in three sizes: 4″x6″, 4″x4″, and 3″x4″. Some kits, including the accessory kits, also have 2″x2″ cards.
Here are three of the the PL cards I used for my first card. The card with the sentiment is 4″x4″ so I didn’t trim it at all. I cut a 3/4″ strip from the orange card (to 4″x3/4″) and I cut the other card in half (to 4×1-1/2″). I adhered the smaller pieces to my black card base with SNAIL adhesive and popped the larger card up with Dimensionals.
I then used a craft knife to cut out a leaf from another card in the collection and used Dimensionals to add it to the card.
And that was it! The PL card with the sentiment looks taller than the other pieces but it’s not. It just looks that way because it has Dimensionals behind it so it’s closer to the camera.
These are the cards I used for my second card.
I cut the leaf out of the card with the black background being careful not to cut close to the edge (I started with the craft knife but finished with scissors). I then trimmed the sentiment to 2-1/2″x3-1/2″ and mounted it onto the black card. No one will ever know there is a big leaf shaped hole back there :).
I trimmed off 3/4″ off the pattern end of the large card and attached it to my card base. Then I attached the sentiment with SNAIL and the leaf with Dimensionals. And that was card number two.
