I used Leafy Ink to stamp the greenery and Blush, Sea Glass and Cherry Kisses inks for the flowers. I also used Cherry Kisses Ink for the “birthday” part of the sentiment. I mounted the “happy” onto my Mini MISTI and used some closely matching Stampin Up! markers to “color” and stamp each letter for the multi-color effect. The sentiment is from the Hip Hip Hooray stamp and die bundle, also from The Stamp Market.
I stamped the hand with Blush Ink and used a Prismacolor pencil called Beige-PC 997 to color it in, going over the stamped lines to blend them a bit. I colored in the nails with Copic marker R29. I used a very small piece of rainbow paper from the Color Crush Patterns Paper Pack to die cut the arm and paper pieced it onto the arm diecut with the colored hand.
I cut the white part of the background with a pretty old and retired Stampin’ Up! die (I think it retired in 2015!) and added it to the card with foam squares. To add a little interest to the Tropic Teal cardstock, I stamped the Diamond Tile Background Stamp with Sea Glass Ink. I wasn’t sure the Sea Glass Ink would show up well but it was perfect for the subtle background I wanted.
To add dimension to the sentiment, I die cut the two words from fun foam that I had added double sided adhesive to on both sides. I added the stamped and die cut words to the fun foam and then added that to the card, cutting the fun foam off where the word “birthday” overlapped the white background, since the white background was already raised.
I had a couple of stamped flower pieces left over, so I added them to the inside of the card for a little extra interest.
Well, that’s it for today. I hope you like the card and go take a look at all the beautiful things at The Stamp Market. I can’t wait to see all the goodies from Creativation 2020. Have a great day!
