Have you used a stencil or mask lately? I think I started my “artistic career” stenciling everything I could think of: towels, pillows, kitchen walls, you name it. After a while, stencils and stenciled household items stopped being cool. Now they are back. Yeah! Of course, now we have come up with new ways to use them with a menagerie of new products.
The cards I’m sharing today were stenciled with the Hearts & Stars Decorative Masks and Versamark Ink applied with Sponge Daubers, and heat embossed with gold and silver embossing powders (Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder). To add color to the background, I used a couple of Stamping Sponges with Pink Pirouette Ink and Melon Mambo Ink.
I used the Watercolor Wings Photopolymer Stamp Set and the coordinating dies (Bold Butterfly Framelits Dies and Butterflies Thinlits Dies) to create the butterflies and stamp the sentiment. The banner outline is from the Number Of Years Photopolymer Stamp Set and is cut with the banner die from the Large Numbers Framelits Dies.
In the video, I say several times that the light ink is Pretty in Pink which is a color that was discontinued a while back. I actually used Pink Pirouette Ink. I hope you enjoy the video :-).
