VIDEO-Spinner Card with Skiing By Stamps and Dies

Skiing By Spinner Card

Ready for another interactive card? Here is a cute spinner card made with some basic supplies that you probably already have (and if you don’t have them, you should :)).

Skiing By Spinner Card

For today’s project I used Pinkfresh Studio’s Skiing By stamp set and coordinating dies. This is my first Pinkfresh Studio set of products. Since I have a Silhouette Cameo, I have decided not to buy coordinating die sets that just cut around the basic images of the stamp set. This die set has several other dies (slope, mountain range, mountain caps) that make it worthwhile for me. It was also a pleasant surprise that the die set comes with a magnetic sheet to store your dies with.

I don’t tend to use a ton of pattern paper but I thought these stamps and dies would coordinate really well with the paper stack called Snow Much Fun from Carta Bella Paper.

I only used two colors of inks for my card (besides the black ink): Distress Oxide Bundled Sage and Distress Oxide Stormy Ski. I used the new Scrapbook.com ink blending tool and foam applicators to apply some ink to the front of the card to simulate slopes. I’m not sure yet if there is a big difference in the application with these daubers but the company claims you get less harsh lines with them.

For the coloring, I used 6 Copic markers: BG70 and BG72 for the sweaters the mice are wearing, N2 and N4 for the mice, and E13 and E15 for the bunny and squirrel.
